“Being Mortal”

Film Screening and Discussion

 Wednesday, May 3, 7:00 – 9:00 pm

Halldorson Hall

If you had to miss the first presentation in March, here is your chance to see the film and be part of the national conversation: the one that brings medical professionals and family members together around the shared responsibility of discussing difficult treatment decisions – and how to have these conversations ahead of a medical crisis.

Join us for a screening and discussion of the PBS FRONTLINE film Being Mortal.  Based on the best-selling book by Atul Gawande, MD, MPH, this documentary explores the hopes of patients and families facing terminal illness and their relationships with the physicians who treat them.

Leading our discussion will be our Senior Pastor, Ed Halldorson, along with his very own daughter, Dr. Emily  Bakosi.  We’ll look at these issues from the unique perspective of faith and medicine.  You won’t want to miss this opportunity.

This screening will be free and open to our community at large.  Seats are limited, so RSVP’s are a must. Register HERE or call the church office at (973) 635-2340 to secure your spot.
