The Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township was
organized in 1959 with 224 charter members. Its first meetings were
in the basement of the nearby Southern Boulevard Elementary School
until an eight-acre site was purchased at 240 Southern Boulevard for
our permanent home. The education wing was constructed and
dedicated in 1962 and was renamed Mulford Hall in honor of our
former pastor, Rev. Dr. David Mulford.
Construction of the sanctuary was completed in 1971
and was refurbished in 1998 to enhance the facilities and update
several areas to keep up with technology and the growing
membership. A new organ, sound system and expanded chancel now
provide an even greater opportunity to serve the worship,
educational and fellowship needs of the community.
In 2004, the Church embarked on a capital campaign to
raise funds for additional space and accessibility for worship,
education, fellowship and ministries. The goal was to raise a
minimum of the $2,250,000 and by 2005 we met our goal.
