Youth | Confirmation | Adult

 

Ages 3 through Grade 8

The Church School begins its year with Rally Day in September and ends in June. It meets during the 9:15 a.m. worship service.

 

Nursery

A staffed nursery with a paid caregiver and rotating parent teams is available for infants and toddlers.

 

3-Year-Old Class

Children must be 3 years old by October 1.

 

4-Year-Old Class

Children must be 4 years old by October 1.

 

5-Year-Old/Kindergarten Class

Children can be either pre-school or in Kindergarten to attend.

 

1st through 8th Grades

These classes follow the regular school grades. Children sit with their families during the first half of worship, then proceed to Church School.

 

Church School Special Events

Bible presentation to all 3rd graders is held in the fall. Children participate in their own Christmas Eve service at 3:30 p.m. on December 24th.  Family Worship Sunday's welcome all children in Grade 1 and up to sit with their families during the service.

 

Summer Church School

During the summer months, Church School is offered for children ages 3-9 in a multi-age setting during the 10:00 a.m. worship service.

Church Sunday School

There are many ways you can volunteer your time in the Church School.  Opportunities exist to teach, aide, substitute, or lend a hand in such activities as rehearsing lines, fixing costumes, carpooling, purchasing supplies.  Thank you to the teachers who have taught this fall.  If you are interested in helping out in any way, please contact Leena Waite, the Director of Children’s Ministries at 973-635-2340 or e-mail Director of Children's Ministries.
